The buddhism figure shown below is made by the granite taken from Kaba mountain.
This famous mountain is located about 80 km from Tokyo. Below figure is one of the Seven
Lucky Gods and is called: Hotei. The God Hotei symbolies the
Happy God of abundance and good health
Each stone carver from Makabe area has his own individuel, distinct style. Therefore
every piece is a unique masterpiece of carefully selected granite reflecting the stone
carver's skills. You will see the difference and never go back to industrial made figures
again!
