Kawatourou
The lantern shown below is made from rock taken out of the rivers, surrounding
the Makabe area. In Japanese, this lantern is called: kawa tourou, which means:
River Stone Lantern
The rocks from which these river lanterns were made have been left largely untouched
to preserve its natural appearance. Only small parts of the rocks were worked on to ensure
a secure stand for the lantern. Because as little carving as possible was done, you can
benefit from the lower price compared to fully carved lanterns, while enjoying the natural look.
This lantern beside is still available.
Please understand that once sold, we can not supply exactly the same one again, as these lanterns are unique. We will be happy to provide you with similar looking lantern upon request.
